    why this is awesome…

    1. Its 1969, John Lennon is at his acerbic, revolutionary, Plastic-Ono touting, McCartney-hating best. The kid is 14… from Canada. Imagine being 14 and meeting John Lennon at this period of his life… at this period in history.
    2. This could have only happened, and been of such impressive poignancy, at this particular time in music history. What the hell am I talking about? Well, take Ludwig Van Beethoven for example – incredible composer, conductor and performer - but do we really know who he is or was, and why? Apart from his closest friends and acquaintances, everything else is second, third, fourth, fifth-hand info. Even if some snotty-nose 14 year old, Allegory Van Example, scammed his way into a Viennese hotel room, there’s no way anyone would have been able to discern and communicate Beethoven’s thoughts upon Revolutionary France or the latest styles in powdered wigs. They were revered and not personified by any channels of communication. Ok, let’s skip forward, say, oh I don’t know, about 220 years. Justin Fucking Bieber; weedy, whiny, auto tuned twat (who can actually dance and would have a little black book the size of the bible). Facebooking, Twittering, Myspacing, MTVing, Channel Ving, PRing media whore. What happens? Over humanizing. Is anyone going to care if some ratty little fan makes her way into her hotel room and scores 5 minutes of recorded gold.? No. Why? Because he has probably already Tweeted what he had for breakfast, done an interview on Today USA and Youtubed his latest dance moves. Totes. Not that he would have anything insightful to say. But this ultra humanizing of musicians of today creates a broad swathe of uninteresting, here-today gone-tomorrow stars that fans don’t relate to, nor care to. There is no special feeling about catching a small glimpse into their lifestyle, mind or personality. You can do it a thousand times over, everyday. I digress, what I am saying is that, John Lennon in a hotel room in Canada in 1969, sits at a point where musicians were both revered yet humanized just enough to be accessible both mentally and physically.
    3. The animation if freaking epic.

    Long caption huh.
